Samsung is Rolling out a New Firmware Update for the unlocked US Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950U ( Verizon) .It�s a minor update which brings the latest February security patch for the handset.
The New Software Update brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat experience along the February Security patch more Further improvements to performance as build number N950USQS3BRB1 and it is recommended that those who own the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 should definitely install this update.
To recap, the February patch fixes five critical and a multitude of low and medium-risk vulnerabilities in the Android OS, along with 16 vulnerabilities that only affect Samsung devices. More details on the patch can be seen on the company�s dedicated websites for Android security updates.
To grab the latest update, open the phone�s settings, navigate to and tap Software update, then tap Download updates manually.

First Download Samsung Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950U Android 7.1.1 Nougat Firmware N950USQS3BRB1.
1- Extract (unzip) the firmware file
2- Download Odin v3.12.7
3- Extract Odin ZIP file
4- Open Odin v.3.12.7
5- Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
6- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
7- Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked

8- Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes.
That�s it! Your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 SM-N950U should now have N950USQS3BRB1 February 2018 security patch. on your phone! Go to Settings > About phone to verify.
