When it comes to the newly released EMUI8 for Honor 9 things get a little bit tricky, as we dont have any official update for our region yet (only for C900 and AL variants - chinese).
Thanks to a thorough post from XDA Recognized Developer OldDroid, you don�t have to stumble through it alone.
The guide walks you through the process of getting TWRP on the phone�s Nougat-based firmware, executing a few Android Debug Bridge (ADB) shell commands, initiating the update to Oreo, installing SuperSU, renaming a few system files, and optionally performing a factory reset and unrooting your device. There�s even a section for folks who want to roll back to factory firmware (L09C432B100).

�This Tutorial is only for installing Android 8.0 Oreo on Huawei Honor 9 .Please do not try on any other Huawei phones.
