How To Update Galaxy Note 5 SM N920G to Nougat 7 0 DDS3CQK1 November Security Patch
Add to Flipboard Magazine. December 7, 2017 by Android Custom ROM Fix.
Hello Everyone ,
Samsung is pushing out a similar Galaxy Note 8 update to the Galaxy Note 5, the companys last proper Note flagship. The update is rolling out to the device in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka; its a pretty small download of 20 MB (at least in India), and other than the November patch, theres nothing of importance here.

This November patch is quite important, as it fixes a security flaw with the Wi-Fi protocol that is present on almost every modern Wi-Fi-enabled device. The patch also fixes 61 Android vulnerabilities and six found in Samsungs software. Of course, its not a good sign that the November patch is coming in after the month is over, but that seems to be the norm right now for most of Samsungs flagships from the last two years. Hopefully, the December patch will arrive sooner; it has already started rolling out to the Galaxy A5 (2016).
To get the update, open the Settings Software update menu on your Note 5 and hit Download updates manually. You can also download the firmware from our database and use a PC for updating. The build number after the update will be N920GDDS3CQK1.
