Another member of Samsung Galaxy A series, Galaxy A3 - SM-A310F is now Receiving an OTA update with December security patch.
The Update brings the December security patch A310FXXU3CQL1 to device; there�s nothing else of importance on offer, at least not in terms of user-facing features.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) owners can see if the update is available for their device by tapping the Download updates manually option in the Settings � Software update menu. The update will take time to propagate to all regions, so if it isn�t already available in your country, be sure to check again in a few days. It�s possible not every country will see an update with the December patch, as Samsung doesn�t release regular updates for non-flagship devices. Download Samsung Galaxy A3 - SM-A310F Nougat 7.0. Firmware A310FXXU3CQL1
1- Extract (unzip) the firmware file
2- Download Odin v3.12.7
3- Extract Odin ZIP file
4- Open Odin v.3.12.7
5- Reboot Phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
6- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
7- Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
8- Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes.
That�s it! Your Samsung Galaxy A3 - SM-A310F
should now have Android 7.0. December A310FXXU3CQL1 Security Patch on your phone! Go to Settings > About phone to verify.
