How to search on google for precise search results
Google is the most effective search engine on the net.
Google crawls sites contents and when you search your query
then it matches it with many of the sites contents and
when it finds similarity then it shows you the results.
But when you dont know how
to search then you will be
shown millions of different result which are not precise
and make your head hurt.
When you search on google i think you have to use keywords
to make your search precise. keywords like "free web host" will
only show you results with site that give you Free web host. If
you want cheap one then you will have to add cheap in the search word.
But if your search keyword is good then it will show the sites
with the highest rank. Which will be what you want
1.If you want to search mp3s then this is what you do
put this string in google search:
?intitle:index.of? mp3
You only need add the name of the song/artist/singer.
Example: ?intitle:index.of? mp3 jackson
2.To search for a book / program / file perhaps try the following.
Go to Googles search page and use the following criteria in the search dialog
intitle:index.of? file extension Name of item
e.g. intitle:index.of? chm syngress
This will hopefully give you a listing of all websites
that google has cached that contain references to files
in CHM format that are published by SYNGRESS.
OR TRy
+("index of") +("/ebooks"|"/book") +(chm|pdf|zip|rar) +syngress
OR
allinurl: +(rar|chm|zip|pdf|tgz) Syngress
3.To search for images go to
http://images.google.com
When you searh the images are shown in thumnails and with
their sizes.
Which is very helpfull if youre trying to find images with
specific sizes.
4. If you want to find a specific file or page on a site
the use the following
site:sitename.com filetype:pdf/html/php filename
e.g. site:www.ebook.com filetype:html everything
5.To search for lyrics
Artist name-Song name lyrics
e.g. Metallica-Sad But True Lyrics
6.If you want to search a page with specific title like
how to make tea or whatever then use the following
intitle:"your title"
e.g. intitle:"how to make tea"
if google finds the page with this title it will return results
7.If you are having problem with your pc and want to fix it
then using this might help.
The problem that you got can be bugging many people. Some might have posted it in the blogs or
forums and asked for help and someone have replied with the solution. so if you find those pages
it will help you fix the problem
The first method to do this is, if your problem is about windows and its showing pop ups like error
and others then open a notepad and write down every thing and try to search it on google. you might
get some results.
If your problem is like how to do this and that then
just search on google
e.g. how to open control panel
how to hide folders
how to make windows faster
how to make IE/Firefox faster
